The brief
A Lagos label with a distinct after-dark identity wanted a store that felt like the brand rather than a stock template, and that let people check out without being forced to create an account.
How we built it
- 1
Design that carries the brand's voice
A dark, editorial layout with large imagery and restrained type, so the clothing does the talking and a small collection reads as intentional rather than sparse.
- 2
Browse and filter, then hand off to WhatsApp
Products filter client-side. Adding to the bag builds a pre-filled order that opens directly in WhatsApp, so the customer finishes the way they already message the brand.
- 3
The checkout path is tested, not hoped for
The full WhatsApp-checkout flow is covered by an automated end-to-end test, so a broken order link can never quietly ship.
Why we built it this way
Meet the customer where they already are
This audience shops on their phone, at night, on social. An account wall would lose them, so checkout goes to the exact place they already talk to the brand.
Mood is the product
For a fashion label, the feeling of the page is part of what is being sold. A dark, image-first design matches the label's voice instead of fighting it.
